Coney Green were young enthusiastic and talented when they booked a recording session at Westar. Their first session was engineered by Chris Claudio and consisted of a live recording straight to DAT, they recorded about 6 songs and showed a lot of promise. Soon after they were invited to return to the studio and record a few of the songs via multitrack, they were very inexperienced but we managed to get some pretty good tunes recorded. Over the next few years we recorded on many occasions producing some good results, the band continued to gig and after a chance meeting with Paul Gallagher they eventually signed a management deal with him under the new name The Cornerstones. Despite many close encounters they never troubled the big time and ran out of steam in about 2005. Lead singer Richard Ruth and rhythm guitarist Dan Benion are still making music and occasionally can be seen playing around London and the home Counties.
